We offer comprehensive speech and language assessment services, designed to meet the individual needs of each child and family. A speech and language assessment will provide us with useful information to determine whether a child has a speech and/or language delay or disorder, identify the child’s communication strengths and areas of need, and outline a plan for speech therapy, if indicated.
Jennifer Katz, Inc. provides high quality, individualized speech therapy services for kids of all ages. We approach your child’s speech therapy with understanding, knowledge, and enthusiasm. Therapy is offered for the following:
- Receptive and Expressive Language
- Articulation and Phonology
- Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAD)
- Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
- Oral Motor and Feeding
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Reading and Writing
- Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)
- Bilingual Speech Language Therapy
- Time for School
We began offering speech and language screenings in association with “May Is Better Hearing and Speech Month,” and now offer them throughout the year at independent and parochial schools. Screenings are tailored to meet the needs of each school and assess children’s vocabulary, understanding of language, expressive language, including grammatical development, and articulation or pronunciation. Some of the schools currently participating in our speech and language screening program include Convent of the Sacred Heart, Cathedral School for Boys, French-American International School, Chinese American International, Marin Preparatory School, The Little School, Cavalry Nursery School and Eureka Learning Center.
Jennifer Katz offers various talks and in-services to parents, caregivers, educators and medical professionals. Jennifer has presented to small groups of five to large groups of over 50 attendees. Jennifer is happy to customized a presentation for your group.

For over ten years Jennifer has gotten to know the schooling options in the city of San Francisco. She has collaborated with public, independent and parochial schools throughout the city and parents and professionals have turned to her for guidance when looking for the best school placement for their child. She has worked with preschool directors, families and teachers to create a list of schools individualized for a specific child.
